I know I know I’m terrible! I just can’t seem to post to this blog! Did you like my redo? I decided I needed a change and couldn’t get Lisa’s cute blogger packs to work in Wordpress without aggravating my already raging headache! So, I just did the easy thing and installed a new theme in the dashboard lol. Here’s the cute blogwear I was going to switch to:

The wonderful Kandy Kane Creations just released her first blog pack and I just had to try it out! What do you think? I love the colors and the cute little dividers she included! The headers are fab as well!

OK, Enough of that! My husband and I actually went on a real date last night!!! I was so excited since this is the first time in forever that we’ve gone out without one of the kids with us. We felt like humans! We went to Lexington Opera House and saw a stop on the Bob and Tom’s Comedy Tour which included Donny Baker and the Pork Pistols! Since this was my dh’s type of thing I wasn’t expecting much but I laughed my booty off! Maybe it was the high that came from being on a date rofl! Our Plans were almost canceled when Kaitlyn was acting puny. I almost stayed home but she started acting ok and we got to leave just in time to make it there. We didn’t get to go eat like we planned but hey, we’ll take what we can get!

Another Layout

I’ve started on this months challenges at Elemental Scraps and this is my layout for the template challenge with Chrissy W. I love her templates and this one did not dissapoint! I also used Miss Tiina’s Little Things Kit (Click LO for Credits)

This is my daughter. It was her birthday and we were doing her annual cake bake! Every year she and I bake and decorate her birthday cake. Yes even for her first birthday she helped by licking the spoon clean lol. I love doing this with her and it helps her feel extra special on her extra special day. This time my Mom joined in the fun and Kaitlyn didn’t want to share the cake batter! The nerve!

My poor hubby got laid off Monday but fortunately he went to update his drug card and turned in his layoff slip (he is a Union Electrical Apprentice) and they already had a job waiting for him. This is a huge relief the way the economy is. He is outside in the frigid weather now but we are thankful for the work!

It warms my heart to go pick my kids up from daycare and see their smiling faces. They are so happy to see me that it makes my long day seem brighter. I wish I didn’t have to put them in daycare, but we have to eat. *sigh* I would so be a SAHM!

OK enough radom rambling. Let me share a not so funny.

My 3 year old DD and I were discussing her little brother and the conversation goes like this
Me: “Do you remember when bubby was in Mommy’s belly?”
DD: “What?” …this is her typical response to anything
Me: “Do you remember when bubby was in Mommy’s belly and is was really big?”

DD: “But Mommy you have a big belly now!”

ok, leave it to a three year old to be brutally honest.

On that note I’m out of here for the time being!

Challenge #3

Well on with the race! The third stop was at Gottapixel. Which I loved since they are the first site I started with in digital scrapbooking. It was a pretty hard challenge for me ( a redo of my first lo there) since I lost all those pictures when my hard drive crashed (my heart still clenches at losing all those memories) so I had to cut the pictures out of my old layout. I actually cringed at what I thought were pretty good pictures at the time lol. Anyways. Here’s my layout. (click for full credits)
